It all started a long time ago - July 2011 - here. And then, one day, I had complaints from MR that his comments were "disappearing into the ether". I checked, and sure enough, I was also unable to post a comment.

You might diagnose stupidity or finger problems on the part of the blog owner (me). That was also my first hypothesis. But then I went to another blog at aussieblogs and it behaved similarly.

Well, I may be the main author on The Footy Bogan, but that was never my intention (see About The Footy Bogan). I have invited members of our community to post their thoughts. They have demonstrated reluctance to post, but seem more comfortable leaving comments - some of which qualify as bona fide posts. But, hey, whatever floats your boat.

It's clear that comments are vital; their lack constitutes what the business people call a deal-breaker.

I tried to get some help from the good folks at aussieblogs, but, after a few days, and with the 2014 season-opener only 2 days away, and with this being my last day off before then, drastic action was indicated.

Will it work out? Will I move back? Only time will tell.
