MR on Collingwood v Fremantle

The blog site seems to be down and out.

Much like my football team.


Weren't they a rabble? We are light years away in class.

That is as bad a display as I have seen for many years - and I have seen them put in shockers.

I thought one player on our team won his position - Young. Langton was a revelation (I thought he butchered the ball more times than credited in his stats). Sinclair deserved his place.

Perhaps the coaches should take the full brunt of this debacle. Whatever they did for the past 5 months hasn't done anything. From having 4 CHF we ended up having none. The umpires did the same rubbish. Cloke was attended to the same way. We had no real idea how to move the ball purposefully. Things I can't abide include allowing the opposition to kick a goal from a kick in without touching the ball - twice; getting the ball on the wing and there being no-one forward of you; bombing the ball indiscriminately into the forward line; having three of our team with the attendant defenders all jumping for the mark in front of our goal; no small forward to mop up; doing a loose zone defence -

Freo just waltzed through. I can't remember us accurately short passing to a leading forward. Why aren't we bulked up? Mind you, Freo snapped at least half a dozen from packs and over the shoulder.

Hopeless included Ball, Toovey, Goldsack, Clarke, Kennedy.
